Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Husssaini

His Holiness, Alhaj Janab Dr. Syed Shah Khusor Husssaini, is born on 10th September 1945 into an illustrious family, as the eldest son of the late Janab Padmashri Syed Shah Muhammad Al Hussaini. He had his initial education from senior Cambridge, (Cambridge University) till 1962. He did his graduation in 1965 and Post graduation in Arabic language and literature in 1967 from Osmania University. he obtained his second Post Graduation in 1976 from the famous Institute of Islamic Studies, McGill University, Canada, specializing in Sufism.

D.Litt in Islamic studies (Sufism) by Belford University, U.S.A in 2004, based on the research done and contribution to the filed of Sufism.

His holiness, Alhaj Janab Dr.Syed Shah Khusro Husssaini, has worked as Lecturer in Arabic at the Osmania University Evening College in 1971 and in 1972 at City College. He worked as Assistant Professor in sufism at the Institute of Islamic studies, McGill University, Montreal, Canada in 1981. Int 1984 he was invited by the Indo German Society to give a series of eleven Lectures in west Germany on the topics related to Sufism.

He has published many books and a number of research articles. He has rendered his services in the field of Journals as director, editor and member of the Editorial Board.

He has served as a member of various bodies like Karnataka Board of Waqfs, Board of Trustees, Shah Khamesh Education Trust Hyderbad, the managing Committee of Jamla Nizamia for the third term, India international centre, New Delhi and Jamiat-i ulamal Deccan. He is the founder president of the All Khaja Education society Gulbarga, since 2007. His achievements as Vice president of the Khaja Education Society, Gulbarga is remarkable. He is the architect of more than 15 institutions including KBN Engineering and Medical Colleges and a 500 bed Khaja Bandanawaz Hospital.

Many awards and distinctions were conferred on him for his outstanding achivements and remarkable contributions to the society.

His Holiness, Alhaj Janab Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Husssaini's personality is a biend of Sufism and aristocracy. He is a Syed paternally and maternally. 45th in line from the prophet Muhammad(PBUH). He is an intellectual with sufi background. By profession, he is an agriculturist, academician, educationalist, and researcher. Honesty, uprightness, Straightforwardness, politeness, meticulousness and perfectionism are all his interinsic qualities. His interests are reading, writing, research, architecture and planning, interior designing, photography and sports. He can read and speak as many as six languages viz Urdu, Hindi, English, Arabic, Persian and French.

His Holiness, Alhaj Janab Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Husssaini is now engaged in rendering yeoman service to the society as Sajjada Nashin, dargah Hazarth Khaja Bandanawz and President, Khaja Education Society, Gulbarga and holding many other responsible offices in society.

His Holiness, Alhaj Janab Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Husssaini for being hoboured with Honararary Doctorate Degree by the Gulbarga University during Twentysixth anunul Convocation.
